Catharina Antonie Klein (4 November 1861 - 30 November 1929), known as Catherine Klein, was a German painter. Her naturalistic flower and fruit still life's were extremely popular in the late 19th and early 20th century. She was widely published in coloured lithographic prints and in books, on postcards and botanical publications. This piece of ephemera is typical of the Royal School of Needlework's artists looking to printed ephemera and contemporary artist for inspiration for needlework design.
